Building the data infrastructure the maritime industry can rely on.
Raa Labs was founded in 2018 with a clear focus: fix the data layer. Not the applications built on top of it, not the reporting downstream. The infrastructure that determines whether vessel data can be trusted in the first place.
Based in Lysaker, Norway, with 30+ people and customers across every major shipping segment, we build and operate vessel data infrastructure designed for reliability at fleet scale. Our foundation spans onboard and cloud environments through two deployment paths: RaaEDGE, our on-board IoT platform, and Cloud Connect, which integrates with existing data sources at cloud level. The same backbone runs across all use cases, which means the data your teams, systems, and third parties depend on comes from a single, consistent source.
The data layer is independent of any single application or analytics vendor. That means you retain full control over how your data is used, who consumes it, and which tools you choose downstream. Adding a new use case means connecting to something that already works, not starting a new data project.
We don't just collect data. We take responsibility for its quality. That means actively monitoring data health across your fleet, coordinating with stakeholders on board and ashore, and acting when something needs fixing. End users can trust what they receive, every time.

Andrea is Commercial Manager at Raa Labs, which she joined in 2021 as Customer Success Manager. She works with shipowners and operators to understand their needs and shape solutions that deliver value across their fleets. Prior to Raa Labs, she worked in the Environment Advisory section at DNV and served as Managing Director of the Maritime Battery Forum. Working with vessel data in different roles has shown her that decisions are only as good as the data behind them. Andrea holds an M.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with additional studies in informatics and business administration.

As a Platform Engineer, Victor works on the systems that reliably move data from vessels to shore and turn it into something customers can use. His background spans that whole path, from hardware to the cloud. Victor started at Silicon Labs, writing software close to the metal for wireless and IoT devices, and at N2 Applied, he built industrial software for agriculture. Working in an energy storage start-up, he led the embedded team working on the control logic for the storage systems, and has also worked as a consultant within IoT and edge development, connecting industrial equipment to the cloud. With an MSc in Engineering Cybernetics from NTNU as a foundation, he brings a systems-level view to building a platform that is robust, scalable, and grounded in how industrial assets actually operate.

Siri is Data Engineering and Quality Lead at Raa Labs. She joined the company in 2020 after completing the Digital Trainee program at Wilhelmsen Group. Since then she has worked across data engineering and customer success, which gave her a close view of both the data and the customers who rely on it. Today she leads the team responsible for making sure vessel data is accurate, consistent and fit for purpose. Siri holds an MSc in Marine Engineering from NTNU.
